As Chief Executive Officer, Jim believes in the transformative power that education provides. In his 24-year tenure in educational technology, he has consistently led by building strong, collaborative relationships, united by a shared mission. Jim's proven expertise is built in rapidly scaling software businesses globally as he has led all aspects in go-to-market functions such as sales, revenue operations, client success management, partnership alliances, managed services, and professional services.
Prior to joining Ready Education, Jim served as President, Global Markets at Anthology (formerly Campus Management). In this role he led a large client-facing team focusing on enterprise cloud/SaaS growth strategies in 88 countries. During his eight-year tenure, the team supported over 4,500 clients, achieving a remarkable 10x revenue growth, while completing several acquisitions and eventually merging with Blackboard.
Prior to Anthology, Jim spent two years as Executive Vice President at the Online Program Management provider Academic Partnerships. His ed-tech career began at SCT (now Ellucian) where his 12 years culminated in leading the largest U.S. region during significant expansion and growth.
Early in his career, Jim spent nine years as a United States Marine Corps Intelligence Officer serving both domestically and abroad, and is a graduate of the esteemed U.S. Army Ranger School. Jim graduated cum laude with a bachelor's in business administration from the University of South Carolina. He holds an MBA from Auburn University, and a certificate in sales management from the University of Chicago. Since relocating from Raleigh, North Carolina in 2003, Jim and his family call Frisco, Texas home.
