Before adopting CampusGroups (CG) in 2022, the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire (UWEC) relied on the same student life community platform for nearly a decade. However, the legacy platform's functionality was constrained, and its performance was sluggish.

Before the implementation of CampusGroups (CG) across all its campuses in 2021, Johns Hopkins University (JHU) had utilized several separate instances of student involvement platforms, each specific to individual campuses.
